Vernon "Burnin Vernon" Wayne Huth

Vernon “Burnin Vernon” Huth, 53, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away peacefully, at home, Saturday, February 6, 2010. He was born March 6, 1956 in Sioux City, IA to parents Roger and Apprilla Huth. Vernon moved to the local area in 1982 from Sioux City, IA. Known to his friends as “Burnin Vernon” he got the nick name for his love of welding. He worked many years for a local company called Reliable Rail Services in Green Cove Springs, FL. Not only did he love to talk about welding he loved taking on difficult projects. When he was not welding he would be out fishing. Vernon was always known to be the life of the party. He will always be remembered as a great father, loving fiancé, proud grandpa, a funny brother and one of the best uncles any person could have. He may be gone but never forgotten by those who knew him and loved him. Vernon is preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, Ronald Edward Huth. He is survived by sons, Christopher and Peter Darnell; fiancé, Emellen Nibert of 5 years; brothers, Kenneth Charles Huth (Bonnie), A. I. “Pete” Huth (Pam), Roger Donald Huth (Barbara), Keith Arnold Huth; grandchildren, Austin, Elijah, Laura and Leland. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A memorial service, in his honor, will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the family’s home, 1430 Green Cove Ave., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
