Irene Jalonen

Irene Jalonen passed away February 3, 2010, in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 93. She was born to Emil and Marie Saari on September 25, 1916 in Grayling, MI. Irene married Nestor Jalonen on January 24, 1946 in New York City, NY. They had one daughter Marion. Irene worked for Henlopen Mfg. Co. as a factory worker and retired in 1975. Irene became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on September 15, 1961 when her husband, Nestor joined Clearwater, FL Lodge #1030. Irene joined Clearwater, FL Chapter #995 on July 30, 1977. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on May 1, 1978. Irene and Nestor came to Moosehaven on August 28, 1990 where she has resided for 19 years. Nestor preceded her in death on December 30, 1991. A Service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Moosehaven Pier at 2:00 PM. Services will be conducted by Rev. Lyn James and Officers of Opportunity Chapter. She is survived by her daughter, Marion Mirriona of North Babylon, NY. Please sign the family's online guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
