Pheby M. Crockett

Pheby M. Crockett, 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, February 15, 2010. She was born on September 5, 1933 in Grand Ridge, FL to parents J.M. and Maude Mears. Mrs. Crockett was a faithful member of Russell Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs. She was also a volunteer at the Council on Aging. Pheby enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing, which her family will tell you that she was “always” fashionably late for. Some of her family’s fondest memories were of her late husband playing the guitar and she would dance for them. They say her smile would light up any room. Pheby may be gone but she will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her loving husband, Charles R. Crockett. She is survived by her sons, Mark A. Crockett and Charles D. Crockett; daughter, Diana Conner (Jim); grandchildren, Crystal and Mark, Jr. and great grandchildren, Dakota, Brianna and Brooke. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with funeral services starting at 3:00 pm with Reverend Paul Salazar officiating.
