Mrs. Allie L. McClain Pollock

Mrs. Allie L. McClain Pollock, 74, of Lake Placid, FL and formerly of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010. She was born on March 9, 1935 in Athens, GA to parents, James and Odessa McClain. Mrs. Pollock had been a CNA and had volunteered at Highlands Regional Medical Center. She was a member of several bowling leagues and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Rev. John Pollock. She is survived by her son, John S. Pollock, Jr.; daughters, Robin Duckett, Alison Eckblad and Alicia Thompson; brother, Florence “Skeet” McClain; sister, Martha Hazel Huss; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. David Beecher officiating.
