William Ronald (Bill) Aultman

William Ronald (Bill) Aultman, 62, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006 in Green Cove Springs, FL. Born on November 22, 1943 to parents Frank and Vinitta (Perrin) Aultman in Tifton, GA; he had been a resident of the Green Cove Springs community since 1966. Mr. Aultman proudly and honorably served his nation in The United States Navy for 22 years. He was the first Limited Duty Officer to be promoted from Enlisted Rank to Officer of Antisubmarine Warfare and received numerous commendations and medals including: Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Force Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal with 2 stars. Of the Christian faith, he was a member of the National Republican Committee, The Fleet Reserve, and Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. After retiring from the Navy as Lieutenant in 1982, Mr. Aultman became a certified stockbroker and attended college at the Florida Community College in Jacksonville, Florida. After his marriage, in 1985 to his soul-mate Janice Conner of Cedar Crossing, GA the family moved to St. Croix, U.S.V.I., where he performed mission critical evaluations of aeronautical military combat maneuvers. Upon returning home to Clay County he became an owner/operator in the transportation industry. In 2001 Mr. Aultman began his current company Aultman Satellite, which will continue to be his legacy. Mr. Aultman was preceded in death by his brother Frank (Bim) Aultman and three sisters, Jayne Aultman Tripp, Sandra Aultman, and Ilene Aultman Kent. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Janice Aultman; two sons, Jeffrey Class of Dayton, OH and William Aultman, II of Green Cove Springs; four daughters, Amber Aultman, Casey Rowe, April Aultman, of Orange Park, FL, and Lezlee Aultman of Green Cove Springs, FL; three brothers, Roger, Terry, and Stanley Aultman; seven sisters, Linda Childers, Carolyn Holsenbeck, Marsha Aultman, Deborah Culpepper, Tamza Black, Wanda Smith, and Norma Smith; three grandchildren, Angela, Jenna, and Tiffany, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines & Pons Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Services for Mr. Aultman will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2006 in the chapel of Broadus-Raines & Pons Family Funeral Home with Gene Black officiating.
