Marilyn Ida Murray Gordon passed away March 3, 2010 in Orange Park, Fl at the age of 81. She was born to Charles and Amelia Whelden on March 4, 1928 in New Bedford, MA. Marilyn married William Becker June 28, 1947 and divorced on July 21, 1953. They had one son, James. She then married James Murray on November 18, 1955. They had two sons, Jay and Bryan and one daughter, Robin. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1978. After coming to Moosehaven, Marilyn met Don Gordon and they fell in love and married on February 14, 2008. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. Marilyn worked at the Life Care Beauty Shop and the Convenience Store as sunshine jobs at Moosehaven. Marilyn became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on November 1, 1983 when she joined Hampton, VA Chapter #349. She earned her Academy of Friendship on May 4, 1986 and sponsored nine members in her lifetime. Marilyn came to Moosehaven on May 30, 2006 where she has lived for almost four years. Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:30 PM in the Moosehaven Chapel. Followed by inurnment in the Moosehaven Mausoleum at a later date. Service will be conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Opportunity Chapter. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Carol) Becker of Glouscester, VA, Jay (Connie) Murray, of Roseville, CA, Bryan Murray of Hampton, VA and a daughter, Robin (Dan) Seidling of Monroeville, PA. seven Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren. .
