Yolanda E Parasky, 93, affectionally called “Vye” passed away peacefully on February 27, at All Saints Nursing home under the care of her loving, compassionate caregivers there.
She was born in Mamont, PA on September 14, 1916. She was a loving, caring, giving person who over her lifetime gave refuge and care to many people in need. She was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed entertaining. She was also an accomplished cook, seamstress, gardener and was very creative. She most enjoyed her embroidery handcrafts and in her later years when she was confined, stitched many beautiful keepsakes for her family and friends.
Vye will always be remembered by her family and those who knew her for her beautiful smile, outgoing personality, her gift of hospitality and giving nature.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Parasky, and most recently by her loving son-in-law, Charles Pfeiffer.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Pfeiffer, her son, Ronald J. Pangallo, and his wife, Beverly, 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, and a host of family living in Pennsylvania.
A Memorial Celebration of her life will be held at Cross+Road Lutheran Church, 5101 Lakeshore Drive West, Orange Park, Florida on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 4:00 pm with Pastor, James E Graeser, officiating.
