Madeliene Hofmeister Smith

Madeliene Hofmeister Smith, 65, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010. She was born on July 4, 1944 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Harold and Alice Baxley. Mrs. Smith had worked in the area in several nursing homes as an LPN. She enjoyed fishing and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother, Alice Cavin; children, Darlene Hofmeister Overstreet (Randall), Harold Eugene “Gino” Hofmeister and April L. Hofmeister; brother, Harold Edwin Baxley (Sherri); sister, Lorraine Batten (Eddie); step-brother, Eddie Cavin (Bonnie) and grandchildren, Amanda Cline, Patrick Deese and Lauribeth Hofmeister. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating.
