Louella Anna Whitfield

Louella Anna Whitfield, 87, passed away March 11, 2010. She was born on June 1, 1922 in Anderson, AL to parents, Luther and Bertha Bassham. She moved to Green Cove Springs 40 years ago coming from Bartow, FL. Louella was of the Baptist faith and was a very strong independent woman who would do anything for anyone. She was a wonderful mother and Me Mal who enjoyed fishing and loved to go to Bingo. Louella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Finley; daughter, Betty McBrayer; granddaughter, Tammy Havis and her sister, Edna Havis. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends She is survived by her children, Ralph Havis (Elma), James Havis, Dawson Havis, Lester Havis (Karen) and Linda Repult (Robert); brothers, Leroy and Bobby Bassham; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Broadus-Raines Chapel.
