Archie Lawrence Hilton

Archie Lawrence Hilton, 77, of Green Cove Springs, FL went to be with his Lord, Friday, April 2, 2010. He was born on March 4, 1933 in Hurley, Virginia to parents Clark and Matilda Hylton. Mr. Hilton honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He moved to the local area, with his family, in 1958 from Hurley, VA. Mr. Hilton was a faithful and loyal member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Green Cove Springs, FL. He loved spending time in his garden were he enjoyed growing vegetables, orange trees and pecan trees. Archie was also known to love riding his Ford tractor and 4 wheelers. His family will always remember him as a simple, but humble family man. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years Dreama “Mary” Hilton in 2002 and is survived by his son, Larry D. Hilton (Robin); daughter, Dawna Burns (Brian); brother, Berlin Hilton (Martha); sisters, Maxine Hilton and Georgie McLean; grandchildren, Leah Hilton, Kyle Hilton (Jessica) and Timmy Burns and great granddaughter, Abigail Hilton. The family will receive friends between 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm Monday, April 5, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Paul Salazar officiating.
