Mildred Moseley Whatley Suttle, 76, of Penney Farms, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Mildred (Dot) was born in Cordova, Alabama, June 10, 1933 to William Edgar Mosely and Estelle Peavey Mosely. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Theodore Ralph Whatley, Sr., sister Fannie Mosely Lacey, brothers William Fredrick Mosely and Harwell Peavey Mosely. Mildred is survived by her husband Robert Lemuel Suttle, sisters Ruth Moseley King and Janie Moseley Akridge, sons Theodore Ralph Whatley, Junior, of Lake Worth, Florida and his wife Julie, William Edgar Mosely Whatley of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and his wife Kate and grandchildren Grace Whatley Freigi and husband Fadi, Hilary Whatley Hart and husband Roger, Theodore Whatley III, Dottie Jean Whatley, Victoria Whatley and Lily Mae Whatley, great grand children, Sammy Freigi, Ian Hart, and Julian Freigi, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mildred received her bachelor degree from Birmingham Southern College and her masters from The University of Alabama. She taught math at The Mather School in Buford S.C., Palm Beach Junior College, Bethune Cookman College, and Howard University. She was also Director of Institutional Research at Palm Beach Junior College. She spent several years living in Naples, Italy while her husband Dr. Theodore Whately served in the US Navy in the Mediterranean. She later worked with her husband Robert Suttle in real estate investment and management. She enjoyed the beach with her dogs while living at Crescent Beach, Florida and throughout her life: sailing, square dancing, cruising, singing with Sweet Adelines water color painting, crossword puzzles and suduko. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services in her honor will be held at Penney Farms Memorial Church on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Penney Farms Cemetery, Penney Farms, FL.
