Margery Carter Slaughter

Margery Carter Slaughter, 66, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010. She was born September 12, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL to parents John and Margery Petty. Mrs. Slaughter was a stay a home mother who loved to take care of her family. Margery loved to fish. She found the best fishing hole off of her family’s dock in Nassau County. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and word games. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and the best friend that anyone could ask for. She is survived by her loving husband, of 23 years, Wayne R. Slaughter; sons, Jimmy Carter (Rose) and Travis Carter; daughter, Terri Dorman (Fred); grandchildren, Megan, Amber, Natalie, Celeste, Fred III, Isaac and Travis Jr.; 2 great grandchildren and her best friend Sandy Warren.
