Violet M. Davis-Bell, 49, of Orange Park, FL passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010. She was born on March 21, 1961 in Spanish Town, St. Catherine Jamaica to parents Owen and Loretta Davis. Violet was an accountant who loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed her garden of oranges, roses and vegetables. Violet also enjoyed growing hibiscus flowers known in Jamaica as the “Shoe Black”. She also enjoyed playing dominos and computer games in her spare time. Violet was preceded in death by her father, Owen Davis. Survivors include her mother, Loretta Davis; her husband who she started dating at the age of 19 and was married for 17 years to, Anthony Bell; children, Taylor Jermaine St. Patrick Bell and Ashley Toni-Ann Bell; brother, Keith Davis (Maxine); sisters, Verona McFarlane, Selena Hayle (Patrick) and Sandra Morris-Thomas (Antowan). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 17, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Orange Park with Pastor David Tarkington officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery, Penney Farms, FL.
