Bertha Eileen Hopson

Bertha Eileen Hopson, 52, of Orange Park, FL passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010. She was born on December 15, 1957 in Westfield, NJ to parents James and Julia Gardner. Mrs. Hopson honorably served her country, for 6 years, as a Sharpshooter in the United States Army. She had just recently moved to the local area, with her husband, from Elizabeth, NJ. Mrs. Hopson was a dancer and a community activist in her spare time. Even though she herself had no children, all who knew her say she was “A mother to all.” She is preceded in death by both of her parents and is survived by her loving husband, of 14 years, James W. Hopson; brothers, Calvin Deshiso and James Gardner and sisters, Nora, Rose, Julia and Victoria Gardner.
