George D. Hellard

George D. Hellard, 58, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010. He was born on February 28, 1952 in Green Cove Springs, FL to parents, Jesse and Voncile Hellard. Mr. Hellard was a welder and was very proud of the wrought iron work at the Clay County Fair Grounds that he helped construct. Mr. Hellard also worked for the North Florida Hunter Jumper Association as well as working for and with the Clay County 4-H Club. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Chrystel Hellard; children, Edward R. Holestin, Alton D. Holestin, Jr., Jesse B. Hellard and Dawna J. Hellard; brother, Jeff “Bear” Hellard; sister, Jane Huffstettler and grandchildren, Morgan, Annaliese and Addison Holestin. The family will receive friends for a time of sharing from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, June 4, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Clay County 4-H Club, P.O. Box 278, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
