Willie Jean Kirker

Willie Jean Kirker, 77, died peacefully in the early morning hours of June 10, 2010. Her death follows an extended illness. She was a life long resident of Green Cove Springs. She enjoyed boating, fishing and golf and was also an enthusiastic Florida Gator fan. Her greatest joy was her family and wonderful extended family. She is survived by her husband and soul mate of almost 60 years, Eugene and their three children, Lynda of St. Augustine, Steve (Barbara) of Green Cove Springs and Keith (Renee) of St. Augustine. Additional survivors include granddaughters, Amanda, Meghan, Staci and Wendi. She is also survived by three nephews, David and Randy Burkhalter and Allen Bryan. She was predeceased by her parents, Grace and Willie Weeks; sisters, Ann Burkhalter and Irene Bryan and granddaughter, Rachael Kirker. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, June 11, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Joe Barrie officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
