Maxine "Mimi" Scott

January 23, 1927 — June 9, 2010

After a long and valiant struggle, Mimi went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ on June 09, 2010. She was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to parents Carl and Audrey Quade. Her maternal Grandmother Anna Marie Boullion raised following her mother’s death. Mimi graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and was a kindergarten teacher for many years before leaving to raise her family. She was an active life long Episcopalian trained and served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. Mimi trained acolytes, taught Sunday school, and was an active member of the choir at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Sebastian, Florida. She had a love of music especially classical and was an accomplished pianist. Mimi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of more than 59 Years, Donald R. Scott, four Children Debora Alverson (Chuck), Mike Scott (Karen), Gregg Scott (Bobbie), David Scott (Trish), 6 grandchildren Ryan Alverson (Liz), Chelsea Alverson Folsmbee (Heath), LeAnne Scott Bosheers (JK), Shawna Scott, Derrick Scott, Gabby Scott and great grandchild Gavin Scott. Her Brother and only sibling Richard “Dick” Quade preceded her in death. Mimi’s indomitable spirit, compassion for others and beautiful smile touched many lives even to her last day. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and all whose life she touched. We will miss the smile that added sunshine to every day.
