Elsie Hatcher Padgett

Elsie Hatcher Padgett, 90, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010. She was born on September 16, 1919 in Middleburg, FL to parents, Ellis and Ethel Hatcher. Mrs. Padgett was a retired bus driver with 30 years of service from the Clay County School System. She was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church and had served as the church clerk and taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School class. Mrs. Padgett enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Padgett, Sr.; her parents, Ellis and Ethel Hatcher; 8 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 5 sons and 1 daughter; Archie, Jr. (Barbara), Jerry (Anita), Kenneth (Susie), Wayne (Sharron), Glenn (Vicky) and Carole Bahl; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Black Pond Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 25, 2010 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Black Pond Cemetery.
