Dervert B. Rawlins, Sr., 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. He was born on January 20, 1929 in Bell, FL to parents Charlie and Kallie Rawlins. Mr. Rawlins served his country in the United States Army and was a member of The Congregational Holiness Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling on T.V. and was an Atlanta Braves and Florida Gators fan. Mr. Rawlins was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eva and a daughter, Ida Lindsey. He is survived by three sons, Junior, Robert and David Rawlins; two daughters, Stella Cummings and Elizabeth Qualls; two sisters, Emma Adams and Pearl Kenney; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and 2 on the way. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 8, 2010 at The Congregational Holiness Church with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
