Kenneth Wayne Suggs

Kenneth Wayne Suggs, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, was born on October 17, 1951 and passed away on August 13, 2010. At the age of 58 years old, after a long, hard and courageous battle with his lung transplant, he peacefully went to be with Our Lord. He was known for his vibrant personality and generosity. He graduated from Marinatha Christian Academy and began working in his family owned business. He became owner and President of Allstate Steel Company, Inc. and KWS Leasing. “Kenny” was a long standing member of the First Coast Association of Builders and Contractors and the American Institute of Steel Construction. He had served as a Board Member of First National Bank of Orange Park and First Union Bank of Jacksonville and as a Mayors Aid under Mayor Jake Godbold. In recent years he became an advocate for Fish ministries/ Haiti Relief and Organ Donation. His favorite pastimes were boating, traveling, buying cars, camping, entertaining and most of all being with his family. He resided in Pace Island in Fleming Island, Fl. for the past 21 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fleming Island and a true servant for Our Lord, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his beautiful and loving mother, Ann Hampton Suggs. He is survived by his father, Clarence J. Suggs (Janice), sister, Mary Ann Davis. He was a loving husband to his beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 39 years, Sharon Joseph Suggs, his 5 children, Jennifer S. Bradner, Angela S. Harward (John), Kenneth J. Suggs, known as “Jamie”, Clarence J. Suggs II, known as “Clay” (Stacey), Joseph J. Suggs, known as “Joey”, his 7 grandchildren, Anna, Anabell, Emma, Bailey, Tre’, J.C., Carter and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be remembered forever by all who knew him. All services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Hwy 17 South, Fleming Island, Florida 32003. Friday, August 20, 2010, Rosary @ 6:30pm, Vigil service @7:00pm followed by viewing and sharing. Funeral services, Saturday, August 21, 2010, 10:30am followed by a reception.
