James Wiley Roe, Jr., 62, of Middleburg, FL, passed away after a long term illness on Thursday, August 26, 2010. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he attended Brandon High School before entering the United States Navy in 1968. While in the Navy, he was accredited with the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star and the National Defense Service Medal. He loved his God, his family, his Country and “The Florida Gators”. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sheila A. Roe; his father, James W. (Dorothy) Roe, Sr.; brother, Kenneth “Rusty” (Rhea) Roe; step-brother, Martin (Gloria) Chambers; daughter, Renee S. (Richard) Hanneken; son, James W. Roe, III; five grandchildren, Miranda, Cameron, James Wiley IV, Mya and Aleah. James’ life will be honored in a memorial service followed by an internment at a later date in Monticello, Florida.
