William "Mr. Bill" Asble

William “Mr. Bill” Asble, 69, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010. He was born on December 11, 1940 in Portsmouth, VA to parents, William and Margaret Asble, Sr. Mr. Asble had worked as a custodian at Charles E. Bennett Elementary in Green Cove Springs as well as working as a cashier at the Fina Station. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, gardening and taking care of his flowers. He loved the outdoors and spending time camping. Mr. Asble was of the Catholic faith and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his daughter, Sue Ann Asble and brothers, Joseph Bridges and Thomas Eugene Bridges. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Gale Wilson (Tommy); brothers, Charles Lee Bridges (Beverly) and Barry Keith Asble (Karen); sister, Janie Marie Ross (Joseph) and very close friends, David Lahey and Estella Reagan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
