Wilbur Hicks "Bobby" Freeman, Sr.

Wilbur Hicks “Bobby” Freeman, Sr., 84, of Orange Park, FL, passed away September 17, 2010. He was born on November 25, 1925 in Rutherfordton, NC to parents, Crayton and Minnie Freeman. He had served his country in the United States Navy and worked as an electrician for CSX for 37 years. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and loved his family and doing for others. He is survived by his wife, Edna Freeman; children, Wilbur Freeman, Jr., Charlene Huntley (Wendell) and Claudia Williams (Roy); grandchildren, Paul Huntley (Christy), Jeremy Huntley, Trey Freeman (Dana), Chip Williams (Whitney) and Eric Williams; great-grandchildren, Cole and Codi Huntley and Caleb Freeman and sisters, Mary Helen Arrowood, Virginia Michael and Betty Michael. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 20, 2010 at Ridgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Mouzon officiating. Visitation will be in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Acosta-Rua Center for Caring, 5450 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
