Teresa Renae Carter Miller, 50, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 9, 1959 in Starke, FL to parents Johnnie and Judy Carter, Teresa had been a lifelong resident of the Clay County area. Mrs. Miller was a devoted and loving, wife, daughter and mother. Teresa enjoyed touring the country side with the wind in her hair. One of her favorite things was going on cruises with her husband and family. Teresa was retired from the Clay County School Board after 30 years of service. She is survived by her beloved husband, David C. Miller; parents, Johnnie and Judy Carter; son, John Carter West; foster sisters, Desirae and Michelle Marlar; many aunts, uncles and cousins, but most of all her companion and best friend for many years her dog Sebastian. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 am.
