Geoffrey Leon Guice

Geoffrey Leon Guice, 88, of Green Cove Springs, FL, went to sleep here on earth on Friday, October 15, 2010 and woke up in the arms of Jesus. He was born on April 14, 1922 in Flat Rock, NC to parents, Ernest and Sue Guice. Mr. Guice served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps and was a WWII Veteran. Following his military service, he worked as Supervisor for Olin Chemical Company where he retired from. Mr. Guice lived in the Hendersonville, NC area for most of his life and was a member of the Bethel Wesleyan Methodist Church. He then moved to Crestview, FL where he was a member of the Crestview United Methodist Church. He and his wife then settled here in Green Cove Springs, FL in April of 2010. He enjoyed attending Fleming Island United Methodist Church here. Mr. Guice was truly the rock of his family and will be deeply missed by all. He was a much loved husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 69 years, Pauline Guice; daughters, Glenda Esco (Don) and Diane Arnett; 8 Grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 18, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Cory Britt officiating. Visitation will be in the chapel one hour prior to the service.
