Ollie M. Clady

CLADY, OLLIE M., age 87, passed away on October 22, 2010. She was born December 28, 1922 in Windsor, Vermont to the late John and Ellen Hollenbach. Ollie grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She proudly served in the Women’s Army Corp during WWII. She and her husband, Don, moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1952 where they raised their three daughters, then retired to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. When her beloved husband of 40 years, Donford Clady, passed away in 1985, Ollie relocated to Orange Park, FL. She also was preceded in death by her dear sister, Helen MacMillan, and dear son-in-law Mark Martin. Ollie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gail and John Sammond of Green Cove Springs and Cullowhee, NC; daughter Cheryl Clady of Jacksonville; daughter Barbara Martin of Orlando; two granddaughters, Jennifer Gunderson (Ray) and Kimberly Allmond (Aaron); four great-grandchildren, Logan, Madison, Ashley and Preston; her sister Barbara Halambeck of St. Simons Island, GA; and a niece and three nephews. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff of Northeast Florida Community Hospice for their tender loving care of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Sister during her final days.
