Thomas Wayne Gambill

Thomas Wayne Gambill, 62, life long resident of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010. He was born on January 17, 1948 in Jacksonville, Fl to parents Odie Thomas and Mary Rita Gambill. Thomas was a retired sergeant from the Orange Park Police Department after 25 years of service. He was a true outdoorsman who was an accomplished fisherman who enjoyed hiking in the hills of Tennessee. Thomas enjoyed making walking sticks and cooking out doors with his friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rita Paul and his aunt, Louise Smith. Mr. Gambill is survived by his loving family who will miss him dearly, fiancée, Linda Rhoden; father, O.T. and Cathy Gambill children, Jason Gambill (Mandy), Jamie Gambill, Julie Haydu (Jeff), James Angove, Heidi and Chris Kennett, Nikki Lamm (Jonathan) and Randy Rhoden; brother, Russ Gambill (Cecelia); sisters, Brenda May (Ernie), Janice Townsend (Ernie) and Ann Marie Gambill; 11 grandchildren, one grandchild on the way and his best friends John Jenner and Jim Mason. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, October 28, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Jeff Goon officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
