Dorothy May Datz

Dorothy May Datz, 77, of Fleming Island, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 and now is awaiting the return of Christ. She was born on March 10, 1933 in Lucasville, OH to parents Harvey and Austa Benson. Mrs. Datz moved to Fleming Island from Columbus, OH four years ago. She and her husband were small business owners of the By the Way General Store. She attended fellowship with, The Way International Ministry. Dottie enjoyed going to air shows, listening to music and dancing. She also enjoyed reading her Bible and all kinds of novels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Datz and her son Jeffrey Lewis. Mrs. Datz was a beloved mother and grandma and will be lovingly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Michael Lewis and his wife Brenda and grandsons, Sam and Nathan Lewis. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 31, 2010 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Harve Platig officiating.
