Clarence Colson

C.W. passed away November 11, 2010 at 7:50 AM in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 83. He was born to Clyde and Bessie Colson on June 7, 1927 in Dunnellon, FL and was the third of 7 children, who all preceded him in death. C.W. was a World War II Veteran and served in the Navy from June 4, 1945 to August 2, 1946. He graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Business. C.W. worked as a Controller for Deal Corporation. He retired in 1990. His work on various projects took him around the world to places like Viet Nam and Suriname. C.W. married Yvonne Cason on October 28, 1950 and they had two daughters, Karen in 1951 and Suzanne in 1957. He married his second wife Brutus Marshall on February 21, 1962, who had one son, Peter, now 53. She preceded him in death June 21, 1989. C.W. became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on December 20, 1992 when he joined the Silver Springs, FL Lodge 1199. He was also a member of the Seminole, FL Moose Legion #81. He came to Moosehaven on May 27, 2008 where he resided for 2 years. Memorial Services held Tuesday, November 16 at 1:30 PM in the Moosehaven Chapel. Service conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Warner of Winter Haven, FL and Suzanne Colson of Oakville, Ontario and 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
