Douglas Mann, 59, passed away November 29, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Jacksonville, FL to parents Claude W. and Tommye Mann on October 7, 1951.Douglas was a life long resident of Jacksonville and was a member of the Merchant Marines. He was a Ham radio operator and enjoyed talking to many friends over the radio. Douglas was the owner/ operator of his own business that installed telephone wiring. He helped to reestablish phone lines in Russia after they became a free country. Douglas was preceded in death by his mother Tommye Mann. He is survived by his father, Claude W. Mann (Lottie); sisters, Linda Ward (Melvin) and Becki Silcox (Tootie) and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Broadus-Raines Chapel officiated by Pastor Sam Castaño.
