Robert A. Lee

November 7, 1931 — January 3, 2007

Robert A. Lee, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at his home in Green Cove Springs, FL after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 7, 1931 in the community of Russell, FL. Mr. Lee was a member of Russell Baptist Church where both his parents and grandparents were charter members. He was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs and the only time he lived outside of Green Cove Springs was when he was stationed in Germany while in the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie and Effie Mae Lee, brothers, Carl & Billy Lee, all residents of Green Cove Springs. Robert retired from First Union Bank of Green Cove Springs, presently Wachovia Bank, as Vice President/Branch Manager, after 42 years of dedicated service. He worked at a time when service to the public was a top priority. His door was always open to anyone who walked in. He loved talking to people and he never met a stranger. He was a member of many organizations and unselfishly gave many hours of community service. He was a lover of the outdoors. Fishing, shrimping, and hunting were lifelong passions as well as keeping a year round garden.
