William Donald Duncan, 69, of Middleburg, FL passed away Monday, January 8, 2007 at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL. Born on November 12, 1937 to parents William Harold and Virginia (Timmons) Duncan in Greenville, SC, he had been a resident of the Middleburg community for the past eighteen years. Of the Baptist faith, he was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, SC. Mr. Duncan retired from the railroad industry and later from Gilman Building Products. A member of The Black Creek Critters, he enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, and he loved sports, especially NASCAR, but above all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Duncan is survived by his beloved children, including one son, Mark Duncan (Debra) of Middleburg, FL; two daughters, Terri Waldrop (Tony) of Marietta, SC and Alison Fullwood (Wayne) of Gloucester, VA; one sister, Carole Browder of Anderson, SC; and six grandchildren, Whitney, Brittani, Kacie, Megan, Lacey, and Michael. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at First Baptist of Middleburg officiated by Pastor Todd Jones. Graveside services will take place in Travelers Rest, SC at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 1:00 pm.
