Elsie Carter Manning McKinley, 94, a life long resident of Clay Hill, FL, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007. She was born September 29, 1912 in Highland, FL to Elijah and Lula Carter. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and sewing. Mrs. McKinley was of the Church of God faith and attended the Clay Hill Church of God of Prophecy. She was a loving mother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mrs. McKinley was preceded in death by sons, Harold, Bobby and baby Manning; a daughter, Judy Lee Manning and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Mildred Bell and Juanita Goosby, both of Callahan, FL, Ruby Burger (Raymond) of Green Cove Springs, FL and Katherine Thornton (William) of Americus, GA; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 15, 2007 at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Randall A. Griffis officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery.
