Angelyn Edwards Malone passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007 after a brief illness. Born in Anniston, AL on December 31, 1924 she was preceded in death by her parents Lake B. and Annie Kate Edwards, and by a brother Jim Edwards of Orange Park, FL. She and her surviving husband of 62 years, John M. Malone, M.D. settled in Green Cove Springs in 1947 where she was a model mother to their two children, a diligent housewife and an invaluable aid to her husband’s work in his medical practice. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Green Cove Springs. Angelyn Malone is also survived by a son, John Murray Malone, Bremerton, WA; a daughter, Kay Jackson Kendzor, Summerville, GA; a brother, Lake B. Edwards, Jr., Rochester, NY; a sister, Kathy Brown, Centerville, Iowa; a grandson, John Matthew Malone, Dillon, MT; two great-grandchildren, John Mabrey Malone and Julia Kay Malone also of Dillon, MT and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the new Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hwy 17, Green Cove Springs. Burial will follow the service at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Green Cove Springs. Please sign the family’s online guest registry at www.broadusraines.com.
