Robert W. Meinhold, 62, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away surrounded by his beloved family on Saturday, January 20, 2007 in Green Cove Springs, FL. Born on April 3, 1944 to parents Willy and Elise Meinhold in Brooklyn, NY, he had been a resident of the Ormond Beach community for the past 20 years, coming from the Broward County area. A Vietnam veteran, Dr. Meinhold honorably served his country in the United States Army. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Hofstra University, his Master's Degree from St. John's University, and a Doctorate of Education from Nova University. Later, he began a career as a College Administrator and worked for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Of the Lutheran faith, he was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Ormond Beach and was an avid reader. He loved fishing, and woodworking was a hobby he enjoyed for many years, but above all, he loved his family and was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Mr. Meinhold is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lynne B. Meinhold; one son, Timothy Meinhold; one daughter, Lisa Pettit (Matt), all of Ormond Beach, FL; one cousin, Anita Cavallo (Dan) of California; and one grandson, Andrew. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Faith Lutheran Church, Ormond Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice. Please sign the family’s online guest registry at www.broadusraines.com.
