Robert Self

Robert Earl Self, Sr., 72, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 in Green Cove Springs, FL. He was born September 19, 1934 to Eular and Ida Self in Jacksonville, FL. Robert honorably served his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and later retired from the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris and Elsie. Robert is survived by his wife, Cynthia Self, Green Cove Springs, FL; two sons, Robert E. Self Jr. and Richard E. Self (Andrea), both of Green Cove Springs, FL; two daughters, Teresa Butler (Cecil) and Jessica Self, both of Green Cove Springs, FL; one brother Buren Self; one sister Nola Reade (Francis) of Jacksonville, FL; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Broadus-Raines Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 12:30 pm.
