Thomas Eugene Modlin

Thomas Eugene Modlin, 69, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Haw River, NC to parents William and Rose Modlin. He served his country in the United States Navy and had resided in the local area since 1957. Mr. Modlin was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Modlin; sons, Teddy Modlin (Lynette), Christopher Modlin (Melissa) and Terry Modlin (Tamira) all of Green Cove Springs; brother, Bobby Modlin of Hawriver, NC; sister, Polly Rudd (George) of Elon, NC; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday, March 2, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
