Alva B. Etheridge

Alva B. Etheridge, 78, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007. He was born April 9, 1928 in Virginia Beach, VA to parents Dennis and Letha Etheridge. Mr. Etheridge was a retired Sergeant First Class in the United States Army. He served his country during the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He belonged to the Middleburg Masonic Lodge and the Morocco Shriners as well as being a member of Russell Baptist Church. Mr. Etheridge enjoyed RVing, camping and boating and will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Wanda L. Etheridge; children, Sherry Allbritton and Mark O’Berry; sister, Ruth Jones; grandchildren, Allison Johnson, Brad Allbritton and Cortney O’Berry and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Peoria Cemetery with Reverend Ron Baker officiating. Full military honors will be bestowed at the cemetery.
