Louis G. Sarto, Sr.

Louis G. Sarto, Sr., 84, passed away at his Orange Park, FL residence surrounded by his beloved family on Friday, March 2, 2007. He was born on January 18, 1923 to parents George and Anna (Merlino) Sarto in Boston, MA. Of the Catholic faith, Mr. Sarto honorably served his country in The United States Army during World War II. Later he began a career as a glazer for Pittsburgh Plate Glass and was a forty five year member of the Fraternal Order of Painters and Decorators Union. Mr. Sarto is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine E. Sarto; three children, Louis G. Sarto, Jr. (Kyung Ae) of San Francisco, CA, Paul J. Sarto (Gail) of Orange Park, FL, and Cathy A. Bennett (Allen) of Stoughton, MA; two brothers, Joe Sarto (Honey) of Dedham, MA and Angelo Sarto of Medford, MA; two sisters, Anna Citro of Pinellas Park, FL and Joanne Paquin of Mansfield, MA; and four grandchildren, Chandra and Andrea Sarto, and Courtney and Caitlin O’Neil.
