Alda Carmisciano December 20, 1923 – December 29, 2017 Alda passed away December 29, 2017 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 94. She was born to Antonio and Anna Benotti on December 20, 1923 in Weston, MA. She graduated from Weston High School, and went to work at the Potter Press in Waltham, MA where she met Salvatore Carmisciano. Alda married Salvatore on April 21, 1946. They began their married life in West Newton, moving to Sudbury in 1959. They had three daughters, Gail, Jean and Lee Ann. Salvatore preceded her in death on October 4, 2003. Alda stayed home to raise her children while they were young, her home was a popular gathering spot for friends and family. The family moved to Florida in 1977, and once her girls were grown, Alda was self-employed cleaning houses until retiring in 1997. Alda became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on June 6, 1961, when her husband Salvatore joined the Waltham, MA Lodge #1018. She was very active in the Waltham WOTM, where she served as an officer (Recorder) and participated in many of the Moose activities. Alda and Sal spent many happy Saturday nights socializing at the Moose Lodge. She and her husband came to Moosehaven on March 27, 2002, where she has resided for over 15 years. She was very happy at Moosehaven, enjoying her exercise classes and her Bingo, and receiving the best of care. She will be honored at the Life Care Mass on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the Life Care Chapel. She is survived by three daughters, Gail Carmisciano of Leominster, MA, Jean Binetti of Port Orange, FL, and Lee McCarter of Ladson, SC. She also leaves five grandchildren, Sal and Nick Binetti, Carey Carmisciano, and Kelsey and Guy McCarter. She had two great-grandchildren, Eli and Callie Rose.
