Alexander “AJ” James Colangelo
On the morning of February 24th, 2023 at approximately 6:30am, AJ passed away unexpectedly, at Wolfson’s Children's Hospital. AJ was 7 months and 5 days old.
AJ was born in the town of Green Cove Springs, in Clay County, Florida. Born to Abigail Colangelo and Matthew Piercy on June 19, 2022.
In his short little life, he melted so many hearts with his bright blue eyes. He loved sticking his little tongue out, never cried and had a smile that would light up the room. No matter how bad a day you were having, just seeing his perfectly round face made it better. His Nana loved his bald head, his sweet kisses, and raspberries. He loved pulling his blanket up over his face while bouncing in his bouncer. He was about to start crawling and had 2 teeth. He was a very special boy who touched a lot of lives.
In Alexander’s short time, he impacted so many lives. His days were spent making memories with his mother and older brother, such as, going on bike rides, going to the park, and just spending time together. He was the one who would light up the room just looking at him. He never failed to get his mom to smile.
She is asking if anyone has pictures or videos of Alexander, please send them to her or her mother via Facebook to go in the service.
AJ is survived by his mom, Abigail Colangelo of Green Cove Springs, FL; his father, Matthew Piercy of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Austin Colangelo of Green Cove Springs, FL; grandmother, Ronnie Leeman of Green Cove Springs, FL; grandfather, Christopher Hasten of Green Cove Springs, FL; great-grandmother, Joanna Davis of St. Augustine, FL; uncle, Zachary Colangelo (fiancé Josie Cannon) of St. Augustine, FL; aunts, Janie Dotson of Green Cove Springs, FL and Shawna Green (Michael); and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
