Alice Jean Adams

Alice Jean Adams, of Middleburg, FL, passed away on October 7, 2021. She was born in Evansville, IN on March 21, 1952, to Lyman and Nell Thorbecke. She graduated from Palm Beach High in 1970 and married the love of her life Rayburn Adams. She worked many years as a crossing guard, cleaning houses, and as a cashier at several different locations. She also volunteered many, many hours on the PTA, Classroom mom, working concession stands at the baseball and football fields.

Her favorite past times were cooking, baking, and entertaining for friends and family. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her love for her family and friends. She never met a stranger old or young.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lyman and Nell Thorbecke. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rayburn Adams; sister Judy Longarzo; sons Ray, Danny, and Wayne; daughter-in law Hally Adams; and grandchildren Sydney and Bryce.  

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00pm-5:00pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Veterans Park (1036 Royal Palm Beach Blvd. Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clay County Special Olympics here.
