Allan D Briand May 24, 1947 - June 21, 2021
Allan was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. He immigrated to the United States, with his family, in 1964. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Air Force and served four years during the Vietnam war.
Allan enjoyed the outdoors and in his younger years enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad. He loved tinkering on cars and was an avid reader of history.
Upon his discharge from the air force, Allan returned to Nashua, NH and went to work for Ingersoll Rand Corporation and subsequently for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He worked for Metropolitan Insurance both in the U.S. and Germany. He later moved to Florida and worked as a long-haul truck driver.
Allan is survived by his granddaughter, Samantha Briand, Milford, NH and his three sisters: Stella (Steve) Hogan, Candia, NH; Judy Briand, Merrimack, NH; Jennifer (Mark) Kulacz, Hill, NH; four nephews and two great nieces. Allan is predeceased by his son Michael Briand.
Allan was a world traveler, spoke three languages and most of all enjoyed having a beer and a cigarette while socializing with his friends and neighbors. Don't be sad, grab a drink of your choice and toast in celebration of Allan's life.
