Alma Kendall of Green Cove Springs passed away Sunday September 10, 2023 following a brief illness.
Born Alma Marie Bentley, June 9, 1959 to Herbert H Bentley (Tody) and Mildred Marie Falana, the youngest of five children. Alma was a lifelong resident of Clay County, working for various drug stores throughout the years, such as Bradleys, Revco and Eckerds now known as CVS. Alma also worked for the Clay County council on aging before becoming a full-time home caregiver for her ailing parents and eventual siblings. Besides love for her family and country music her true passion was anything that involved her daughter. Alma is preceded in death by both of her parents, sister, Lisa Bentley, two brothers Lee (Gus) and Alvin Bentley, and her daughter, Jessica Kendall all of Green Cove Springs. Survivors are her oldest brother, Howard Bentley, two nieces, Kathy Sutton, and Shannon Moore and cousin Jennifer Jackson.
A graveside service will be held at Old Switzerland Community Cemetery on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11:00am. Food and fellowship to follow at the Elks Lodge (702 S Orange Ave Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043).
