Alyssa Marie Johnson-Griner

November 2, 1980 — May 28, 2022

Alyssa Marie Johnson-Griner, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the age of 41.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida as a twin, on November 2, 1980, to Julian Eugene Johnson, Jr. and Aimee Jordan Johnson, she is preceded in death by her father.

A lifelong resident of Orange Park, Florida, Alyssa attended Catholic grade schools and Orange Park High School.  She was a proud and loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  She enjoyed reading and loved cats.  Alyssa had an infectious laughter especially when joking around and being silly with her children, whom she loved very much.  She didn’t know a stranger, had a big heart and was very close to her family, especially her father, whom she shared a love of collections. Her beautiful smile and unconditional love will always be remembered. She left an imprint on so many hearts and will be deeply missed especially by her children, Mom and siblings.

Survivors include her children John Arthur Griner V, Lacey Marie Griner, and Gage Zane Griner of Orange Park, FL; mother Aimee Jordan Johnson of Orange Park, FL; brother Julian Eugene Johnson, III (Leigh) of Jacksonville, FL; sister Victoria Ann Johnson of Orange Park, FL; twin sister Katherine Elizabeth Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; nephews Preston Zane Johnson, Collin Moses Johnson, Charlie Jordan Johnson and Drew Kyler Johnson; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Alyssa’s life will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
