Angela Michaele "Micki" Wood

Angela Michaele “Micki” Wood, 46 years old, went home to our Lord Jesus Friday, October 28, 2022.  She was at home with family as she had wanted.  Micki was born in Mobile, Alabama May 5, 1976 and graduated from Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, New Mexico in 1995.

Micki is survived by her daughter Alissa K Lorrain (Wood); sons Nathen A. Wood and Kyle K. Wood; her parents Kevin K. and Rhonda K White, her brother Sean L. White and his wife Trisha; her maternal grandmother Mattie Evelyn Lucas and other loving family members.

Micki was raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico on a cattle ranch.  She loved working with the cows and raising sheep.  She was never afraid of the hard work of branding cows, bucking hay and taking part in round-ups.  She married and military service moved them to Florida.  They eventually settled in Orange Park.   After her divorce, she went to cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser. 

Micki was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church in Middleburg.  She enjoyed her church work as well as embroidery and reading.

She will be remembered for her care and loving of others, sharing her testimony and her encouragement to live for Jesus. 

There will be a memorial service at Black Pond Baptist Church on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 12:30pm following the morning worship service with Brother Charlie Hunt and Brother Jason Brown officiating.
