Anna N. Ryan, 99, of Orange Park, FL was called home to be with her Lord on June 4th, 2017. She was born in Albany New York to her parents Salvatore and Maria Filippone. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Philip William Ryan Senior, daughter Julia A. Race, son John S. Ryan, son-in-law Douglas Race, daughter-in-law Theresa Ryan, brothers John, Salvatore, Dominick and Frank, sisters Rose, Josephine and Alba and all of their spouses, sister-in-law Elizabeth O’Connor (Richard) and brother-in-law Jack Ryan. Anna moved to Orange Park in 2011, prior to that she resided in Colonie New York for over 50 years. She leaves behind two sons and two daughters, William O’Brian Ryan (Debra) of Dalton Massachusetts, Philip William Ryan Junior, Anna Furlani (Gordon) and Angela Wood (Dale) of Orange Park ,19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends, too many to mention, but, nonetheless loved. She was one of the most forgiving women, and she loved everyone deeply and unconditionally. And though her love will forever live in our hearts, her hugs and kisses will surely be missed. Anna retired from her position as Medical Records Librarian for the state of New York in the early 1980s, but returned to work in a part time position with the state, after just a few months because she had an extremely strong work ethic which was instilled in her by her parents and passed on to her family. She was a devout Roman Catholic, attending daily mass for many years at St. Claire’s R.C. Church in Colonie prior to her move to Orange Park where she then attended both St. Luke’s and St. Catherine’s R.C Church and said her rosary every day without fail. She loved to sew and cook, and once she retired loved to watch her “show” General Hospital. The family would like to thank all the caring staff at The Life care Center of Orange park, they were truly a blessing during a difficult time. Until we meet again, Momma, Granma, GiGi. There will be a calling hour from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday June 10th at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, FL 32073, followed by a Catholic mass at 11:00AM. There will be a celebration of life following the service at Moosehaven 1701 Park Ave, Orange Park 32073, where friends and family will celebrate in the true Italian tradition of sharing good food, drink, memories and laughter.
