Barbara "Carolyn" Roberts (Sis), 82 years old, was born on April 19, 1942 in Green Cove Springs, Florida to parents Frank Marion Roberts Sr. and Ida Belle Bryan Roberts

Words from Carolyn: “I lived in Green Cove Springs all of my life. I attended Clay High School and then went onto Technical College of Cosmetology in Jacksonville. In 1965, I opened up my own beauty shop called Carolyn’s Fashion Flair where I worked for 43 years. I accepted the Lord as my savior in June 23, 1967 at a revival at Shiloh Baptist Church. I then attended Russell Baptist Church where I taught a teenage Sunday School class for 25 years and attended there for a total of 50 years. One of my life highlights was my trip to Jerusalem where I got to walk the streets of gold where Jesus walked. I was an active member of WMU where I conducted book studies. I was passionate about family and bible history. I was an active GCS resident and I enjoyed attending city council meetings to ensure the history of Green Cove Springs is preserved. I was an active member of Black Pond Baptist Church. I would like to thank all of my caregivers, family, and friends who have looked out for me during my battle with cancer, especially my sister Cathy.”

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & IdaBelle Roberts, Brother Frank Roberts Jr., Brother Dale Roberts, Grandmother Cora Burris Roberts Eddy, and Grandmother Mary Mollie Gardiner Bryan Reynolds. Surviving one sister, Cathy Roberts, one brother, Ronald Roberts and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 19, 2024 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Jason Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends in the chapel from 9:30 am until service time.  Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
