Barbara Ann Roberts – Green Cove Springs, FL
Barbara Ann Roberts, age 75, was welcomed by her Savior Jesus Christ into eternity on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. She was born on November 4, 1946 in Dalton, Georgia to Mary Elizabeth Shelton Robinson and Benjamin Troupe Robinson. In 1960, she married the love of her life, Ronald Everett Roberts. On Friday, September 2nd, Barbara and Ronald celebrated 62 wonderful and loving years of marriage. Barbara was part owner and operator of a local family grocery store, Robert’s Grocery, with Ronald for many years. She also worked in the textile industry as well as performed accounting work for various companies over the years. She greatly enjoyed and was exceptional in mathematics and working with finances. Barbara enjoyed traveling to see many sights around the United States with her husband but her favorite places to visit were the Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. She loved to shop and go out to eat. Barbara helped care for many babies over her lifetime from her siblings to her own children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even extended family – she loved babies and loved to care them. Her greatest enjoyment came from having family gatherings, going to church, church fellowships, or church sings. The only thing she loved more than her husband and family is Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Benny Joe and Sonny Robinson; sisters Betty Meeks, Dorothy Sedlock, and Beatrice Johns. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughters Tina (Mathis) Sheffield and Lori (Darren) Hengerer; sons Bobby (Betty) Roberts and Bill (Peggy) Roberts; sisters Beverly (Charlie) Miller and Annette (Randy) Cribb; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
