Barry Wood

Clifford “Barry” Wood, 74, passed away at his home on November 19, 2018. He was born February 3, 1944 in Washington D.C to Roger and Odie Wood. Mr. Wood had moved to Florida in 1979 from Fredericksburg, VA. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Barry worked for Gustafason's Farm from 1979-2013. His hobbies included singing, playing the guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his wife Shirley, his parents, two brothers, one sister, a great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.

Survivors include daughter Sherry Holland of Monticello,Fl; son Roger Wood of Jacksonville,Fl; son Robert Wood of Orange Park,Fl; son Presley Wood of Satsuma,Fl; Grandchildren- Crystal Henderson, Lisa Amerson, Tommy Amerson, Brian Amerson, Dustin Amerson, David Amerson, Amanda LaRue, Elizabeth LaRue, Michael LaRue, Tessa Wood, Kayla Wood, Nate Wood, Damon Wood, Grace Wood and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Congregational Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Congregational Holiness Church with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
